1. Full Day Game Drive (Private)

Starting Time: 05h30- 06h00

Full Day ends: 16h00

Half Day ends: 12h00

Duration of activity: ± 6 hours for Half Day and ± 10 hours for Full Day

A Private Game Drive ensures that guests have exclusive use of an Open Safari Vehicle, no other guests will join. Early Morning pick-up (05h30) from an Entrance Gate will ensure an early start. During the course of the day, we will utilize no more than 10% of the 2 294 km of roads open to the public in the Park. All roads lead somewhere and while enjoying the diversity of wildlife the Kruger has on offer, we will make a stop for breakfast. Here the guests will have a chance to browse through the shops and visit the bank (Skukuza only) if they need to. After Breakfast we will continue with our Game Drive in search of the 147 mammal species, 507 bird species and 114 reptile species. En route we try to show guests as much as possible and with a bit of luck, we may just spot the elusive Leopard as well. Lunchtime gives guests a chance to stretch their legs and enjoy the splendor of this magnificent place! After Lunch we will slowly make our way back to the Gate. This includes a “comfort stop” for the guests on the way at one of the many Camps or Picnic areas inside Kruger. The drop-off time is subject to Half Day/Full Day drop-off times indicated above.

2. Full Day Game Drive (Scheduled)

Starting Time: 05h30- 06h00

Full Day ends: 16h00

Duration of activity: ± 10 hours for Full Day

With our Scheduled Game Drive, we join various guests together on an Open Safari Vehicle. Start & End times are fixed and cannot be changed. We do an early morning pick-up from the Numbi and Malelane Gate entrances. During the course of the day, we will utilize no more than 10% of the 2 294 km of roads open to the public in the Park. All roads lead somewhere and while enjoying the diversity of wildlife the Kruger has on offer, we will make a stop for breakfast. Here the guests will have a chance to browse through the shops and visit the bank (Skukuza only) if they need to. 3.Night Drive 

Starting Time: 16h45 from Numbi Gate

Ends: 19h30

Duration of activity: 2½ hours

We offer exclusive Night Safaris in the Kruger National Park on a private traversing area. Guests board our Open Safari Vehicles at the Numbi Gate entrance at around 16h45. From there they are taken via a Game Drive to a spot where they can enjoy the African Sunset while having a Sundowner drink, compliments of Echo Africa Safaris. After Sundowners and Game Drive, we slowly make our way back to the entrance and proceed back to the Numbi Gate where guests will be dropped off.

4. Sunset Drive with Bushbraai (Bushbraai option requires a minimum of 10 Pax)

Starting Time: 16h45 from Numbi Gate

Ends: 20h30

Duration of activity: 3 ½ hours

We offer exclusive Night Safaris in the Kruger National Park on a private traversing area. Guests board our Open Safari Vehicles at the Numbi Gate entrance at around 16h45. From there we start our Game Drive to experience the wonder of the Kruger. Just before Sunset, guests arrive at our exclusive dinner venue situated in the bush and are offered a welcome drink, compliments of Echo Africa Safaris. They will be treated to a traditional South African *dinner prepared on site (cash bar available). Sit back and relax under the stars and ask our guide to point out some of the most prominent constellations in our Milky Way (weather permitting). After the scrumptious dinner we continue with our search for nocturnal animals that might be lurking around. Spotlights are expertly used to find the animals. We slowly make our way back to the drop off point at Numbi Gate.

*We require a minimum of 10 people to offer a dinner in the bush and it is subject to weather conditions.

5. Bush Walk

Starting time: 05h30 – 06h00 (seasonal changes may affect starting times)

Ends: 07h30 – 08h00

Duration of activity: 2 hours

Guests are met at a predetermined time by our qualified & experienced Safari Walking Guides at the reception of Nkambeni Safari Camp. As the day breaks, guests are briefed about the basic rules and associated risks involved with this activity (signed indemnity form required). They will be accompanied by the Safari Guides into the vast wilderness if the Kruger National Park. The guides will introduce a number of skills to the guests including tracking, animal behavior, identification of plants and trees… On these walks, wild animals may be encountered and this is where the Guide will facilitate the safety of the group and that of the animal. Large groups can be accommodated by making smaller groups of 8 persons each. Regrettably, children under the age of 12 years are not permitted to participate.

6. Blydedam Boat Ride

Starting time: Subject to availability (09h00, 11h00 & 15h00 departures)

Ends: Variable end times

Duration of activity: ± 1 ½ hours (excl. transfers)

As per pre-arrangement, guests depart and enjoy a 1 ½ hour scenic transfer (from Hazyview area) to the Blydedam at Swadini. Boat-rides commence at 09h00, 11h00 and 15h00. It involves a 1 hour boat-ride on the Blydedam where you can enjoy the splendor of the Blyderiver Canyon. An interpretation tour by a qualified guide takes you to the very rare living Kadishi Tufa Waterfall and the Three Rondawels and many more beautiful sites along the banks. Hippo’s, crocodiles and an abundance of birdlife, including the African Fish Eagle, are among the wildlife to be seen while learning about the natural history of the third largest canyon in the world. Afterwards, guests have the option to take a break and have lunch at one of the local restaurants en-route back to the pre-arranged point. Lunch will be for their account.

7. Wildlife Excursion – Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre

Starting time: Subject to availability (09h30 & 15h00 tours)

Ends: Variable end times

Duration of activity: ± 1 ½ hours (excl. transfers)

Guests depart from a pre-arranged pick-up point and enjoy a 1 ½ hour scenic transfer (from Hazyview area) to the Moholoholo Rehab Centre for injured or orphaned wild animals. Wildlife is brought to the Centre from all corners of South Africa. Once these sick, injured or orphaned animals are healthy enough they are re-introduced back into their natural habitats. Some are not so lucky and will be kept and looked after for the rest of their lives. Some of these include Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Hyena and several species birds of prey. Get the opportunity to get close to one of Africa’s Big Cats or have a Vulture sit on your arm. Learn more about the breeding habits of a variety of birds (including birds of prey). Afterwards, guests have the option to take a break and have lunch at one of the local restaurants en-route back to a pre-arranged drop-off point. Lunch will be for the guests’ own account. NB: Moholoholo is closed on Sundays except during school Holidays

8. Wildlife Excursion – Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre

Starting time: Subject to availability (tours are available every hour between 09h00 & 16h00)

Duration of activity: ± 1 hour (excl. transfers)

Guests depart and enjoy a 1 ½ hour scenic transfer (from Hazyview area) to the Centre, situated close to the town of Hoedspruit. The Hoedspruit Research and Breeding Centre for Endangered Species initially established as a breeding program for the endangered cheetah, but following the enormous success of the Cheetah breeding program, it has evolved into a legitimate breeding program for other endangered African wildlife species, like the African Wild Dog. Take a drive (approximately 1 hour) through the Centre in an Open Safari Vehicle and visit the different enclosures which host the different species and also get to see the “Vulture Restaurant”. Afterwards, guests have the option to take a break and have lunch at one of the local restaurants en-route back to the pre-arranged drop-off point. This will be for their account.

9. Combination: Boat Ride & Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre

Starting time: Subject to availability

Ends: Variable end times

Duration of activity: ± 5 hours (excl. travelling time)

This is a combination of the above two activities and should be planned as a full day activity. This option works best when the Boat-Ride is done at 09h00 and the Endangered Species afterwards. Timings are somewhat flexible and may be adjusted according to availability.

10. Panorama Tour Starting time: 08h00

Ends: 16h00 - 17h00

Duration of activity: Full Day

After breakfast, guests will depart and enjoy a scenic drive to visit the wonders that the “Panorama Route” has to offer in the form of the Blyderiver Canyon, which is 60 km long and is the third largest canyon in the world. There are a few viewpoints (God’s Window, The Pinnacle, The Three Rondawels) along the edge of the escarpment offering excellent views of the Blydedam, the canyon and the Blyderiver 600 meters below. The Berlin Falls which can be reached by means of a foot path along the river where the water from the Berlin Creek falls down a 150 m drop into a large pool. The Lisbon Falls are at the point where the Blyderiver splits and large pools are formed before the water cascades over the sheer cliff to a pool 92 meters below. The Mac Mac Falls viewpoint offers a spectacular view of this waterfall which was so named after the number of miners from Scottish descent that lived in the area. The Bourke’s Luck Potholes are deep cylindrical holes formed by the action of the sand and rock carried down by the river when in flood. Visitors can obtain a close view from bridges specially constructed over the potholes. Also visit the historic town of Pilgrim’s Rest which is now a living National Monument. It was established in 1873 when the first significant gold strike in South Africa was made in the area.

Lunch is not included but a lunch-stop will be made at one of the many local restaurants in the area.

11. Trunk in hand & Elephant Back Ride

Starting time: Subject to availability

Duration of activity: 1 hour 45 minutes

Guests are guided in small groups on foot through The Elephant Sanctuary. Guides will provide in-depth information and insight into African elephants. You will be introduced to our elephants in the forest area, and here you will be able to touch and interact with the elephants. You will see the special relationship that the elephant handlers share with their elephants and become a part of it. This tour includes an Elephant Back Ride (10 – 15 minutes). Tour times: 08h00, 10h00, 13h00 and 15h00 (subject to availability)

12. Swaziland Daytour

Starting time: 07h00

Ends: 18h00

Duration of activity: Full Day

After breakfast, guests are transferred in a luxury, air-conditioned vehicle to a nearby Swaziland border-post. This tour offers a unique perspective into the culture of the people in the Kingdom of Swaziland. Named after the Swazi-speaking inhabitants, Swaziland is imbedded between South Africa in the North, South & West and Mozambique in the East. A visit to the Glass-factory where they use mostly recycled glass, the candle factory and the Swazi Market will ensure full enjoyment of this cultural experience.

13. Mozambique Daytour

Starting time: 07h00

Ends: 18h00

Duration of activity: Full Day

After breakfast, guests are transferred in a luxury, air-conditioned vehicle to the Lebombo Border-post (approximately 2 hours) near Komatiepoort. From here it is a 45 minute drive to the Capital City of Maputo. This city’s economy is centered on the busy harbour situated in Maputo Bay. Interesting sites in Maputo include the Mozambican History Museum, the Roman Catholic Cathedral, the old Railway Station and of course the Traders Market. This tour offers a glimpse into the life and history of Maputo.

Visa & border fees for clients are not included in this tour.
